Precision/ Premium Dentures
Dentures are a common solution for people who have lost their natural teeth. One of the most important aspects of dentures is ensuring a precise fit, which can be achieved through custom tray impressions. This process involves taking an impression of the patient's mouth using a custom tray, and Polyvinyl siloxane (PVS) impression material, which ensures that the dentures will fit perfectly.
In addition to the custom tray impressions, high-end tooth selection is also an important factor in creating a natural-looking denture. This means that the dentures are designed to match the shape, size, and color of the patient's natural teeth as closely as possible.
Creating precision dentures is a meticulous process that can take up to 6-7 visits for proper fabrication. During these visits, the denturist will make any necessary adjustments to ensure that the dentures fit comfortably and securely. The end result is a set of dentures that look and feel natural, allowing the patient to speak, eat, and smile with confidence.
Implant Supported Dentures
Implant-supported dentures are a great solution for those who have lost all or most of their teeth. These dentures are fabricated and supported by implants, which provide a strong and stable foundation for the dentures. The process of fabricating these dentures starts with taking preliminary alginate impressions of the mouth. Custom trays are then fabricated, and additional parts and accessories are used with the final impression to capture an accurate imprint of where the implant components are located.
The denturist and client work together to select the colour, shape, size, and high-end tooth selection for these dentures, as they require more resilience due to their natural function like teeth. The fabrication process for implant dentures can take around 6-8 visits to ensure proper fabrication. These dentures are designed to provide a more comfortable and natural fit, allowing you to chew and speak with ease.
Standard Dentures
Standard Dentures technique is with the use of high-end Alginate impression and custom-sized pre-fabricated stock impression trays.
These dentures are custom-selected with the client to ensure the tooth colour, shape, and size are just right. The meticulous fabrication process ensures that the dentures are of the highest quality, taking an average of 5-6 visits to complete.
Denture Relines & Repairs
A denture reline is a simple and effective way to ensure that your existing dentures fit more comfortably and securely in your mouth. Over time, the shape and size of your mouth can change, which can cause your dentures to become loose or uncomfortable. A denture reline involves adding a new layer of material to the base of your denture, which conforms to the new shape of your mouth. This can help to improve the fit and feel of your dentures, and make them more stable when you speak or eat.
In addition to improving the fit of your dentures, a denture reline can also help to make them stronger and more durable. The process of getting a denture reline typically takes a day or sometimes up to 24 hours.
Metal Partial Dentures
Partial metal dentures are a common solution to replace missing teeth. The first step in the process involves taking an impression of the mouth. This impression is used to create a custom metal framework that will form the base of the partial denture. The metal framework is then fabricated and fitted to the patient’s mouth.
Once the metal framework is fabricated, the partial denture can be completed. This involves selecting custom tooth shades and shapes to match the patient’s natural teeth. The denture is then fabricated and fitted to the metal framework.
The process of creating a partial metal denture typically takes around 5-6 visits to complete. During these visits, the patient will have the opportunity to ensure that the denture is comfortable and fits properly. With proper care, a partial metal denture can last for many years and provide a natural-looking solution to missing teeth.
Same Day Denture Repairs
When a denture needs repairing, it's best to consult with a denturist to assess the damage. These professionals have the knowledge and expertise to determine how the denture can be repaired, and whether an impression needs to be taken
At our practice, we understand the importance of getting your denture back to you as soon as possible. That's why we always strive to return the denture to the client on the same day or within 24 hours.
Immediate Dentures
Immediate dentures can be a great option for clients who need to have their remaining teeth extracted and replaced with dentures. The process starts with an impression being taken of the client's remaining teeth, and the denturist working with the client to choose the right tooth shape and size. Once the client has undergone their procedure with the dentist, the denturist can then place the denture in the mouth right away. This can help with the healing process and allow the client to always have a smile.
It's important to note that immediate dentures may need to be remade or relined a year later. This is because as the mouth heals and changes shape, the dentures may become loose or uncomfortable. In some cases, the immediate dentures may even need to be replaced with a new set of dentures. However, with proper care and maintenance, immediate dentures can provide a great solution for clients who want to restore their smile.
Acrylic Partial Dentures
Partial acrylic dentures is a common solution to replace missing teeth. The first step in the process involves taking an impression of the mouth. This type of partial denture is all plastic acrylic and has metal clips to help hold the denture more still in the mouth. We select custom tooth shades and shapes to match the patient’s natural teeth. The denture is then fabricated and fitted. The process takes around 5-6 visits to complete.
