Amanda Bolle DD RDH is an experienced registered dental hygienist providing mobile dental hygiene services here in Ottawa and the surrounding area, and will work with you to identify any areas of concern and create a customized treatment plan to address them. Working with you the client; power of attorney (POA); and decision-makers, collaborating via face-to-face, emails and phone calls.

Amanda Bolle Registered Denturist and Dental Hygienist will help you with oral health education and preventative dental hygiene services such as scaling, polishing, fluoride and desensitizing, and more.

Scaling
Scaling refers to the process of removing plaque, tartar, and stain from the surface of teeth. Regular teeth scaling can help prevent gum disease and maintain good oral health.
Dental Polish
Dental polish is a procedure performed by a dental hygienist to remove surface stains and plaque buildup from teeth, leaving them looking brighter and smoother. It typically involves using a rotating tool with a polishing tip and a special paste to gently build and shine the teeth.
Fluoride Application
Fluoride application is a dental treatment that involves the application of fluoride to the teeth. This treatment helps to prevent tooth decay and strengthen tooth enamel.
Desensitizing
Teeth can often be hypersensitive to hot and cold temperatures in the mouth. With desensitizing products, an application of a liquid is placed on the tooth where the sensitivity is occurring, creating more comfort for the client.
Silver Diamine Fluoride
Silver diamine fluoride (SDF) is a liquid substance used in dentistry to help prevent and treat tooth decay. It is applied to the affected tooth and can help to stop the decay from spreading further. SDF has been found to be effective in reducing the need for more invasive dental procedures. SDF is commonly used in senior dental care. Prior to the application of the product, an assessment and consultation will be performed to determine the health of the tooth. It is important to speak with your dental hygienist prior to application.
Oral Cancer Screening
Your oral health and teeth are equally as important as having a yearly oral cancer screening. Amanda Bolle DD RDH will always be on the lookout for unique variations in the oral cavity that might be a condition that should be further looked at and require a referral.
Denture Examination
A denture examination is a process where Amanda Bolle DD RDH evaluates the condition of your dentures to ensure they fit well, function properly, and are in good condition. This helps to ensure that your dentures are comfortable and effective in helping you eat, speak, and smile confidently.
Temporary restoration (Interm Stabilization Therapy)
A temporary restorative is a dental material used to fill a cavitation or repair a damaged tooth on a short-term basis until a permanent solution can be implemented. Your Dental Hygienist Amanda Bolle would use a product that is called Glass Ionomer (GI), which helps to strengthen the tooth structure and prevent food impaction in the cavitation. GI also releases fluoride as a therapeutic effect
Professional Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening can be a great addition to your healthy smile. Professional whitening can be completed by taking an imprint/impression of both top and bottom teeth and making custom trays and recommendations for the product used. Two products exist for the whitening solution: carbamide peroxide, and hydrogen peroxide. Amanda Bolle DD RDH will help you choose which product is best for your needs, and provide instructions for use and follow-up care.
